Baby Feeding Accessory - Kipiis Bib Clips

Kipiis Bib Clips Coral/Orange
The Kipiis Bib Clips allows you to turn pretty much anything into a bib, such as a napkin, cloth diapers, kitchen towels, etc. This seems a particularly cool idea considering how expensive some bibs can be, and as they are only used to capture spills and get dirty, using spare items you may have makes sense.

When you first use the Kipiis Bib Clips you are amazed that the idea has not been thought of before. There are now a few copycat products available on the market, but as far as I know, Kipiis was the first. I have not had a chance to use any of the other brands, so not able to comment if they have improved upon the design.

Kipiis Bib Clips Tangerine/Blue

Key Features

  • Instantly turns a napkin, cloth diaper, or whatever is handy into a bib
  • Great for creating toddler aprons
  • Made of durable ABS resin
  • Dishwasher safe
  • Four great color combinations to choose from (see photos in article for examples of color combinations)

The Kipiis Bib Clips are available in 4 cool designs. The color combinations reflect the colors of the clips and straps respectively.

As they can be folded small, they are very handy to keep in your diaper bag, glove box, kitchen drawer, or pocket.

Kipiis Bib Clips Magenta/Lime

However, there were a couple of points that we were not completely satisfied with. Firstly, we did find that the straps can be very stiff to use. They are not very flexible, so when your baby moves, they remain in the same position and can rub against their neck. I can see that they could annoy a baby over time.

Secondly, the clips are not that practical and can be hard to use. They are very shallow, therefore they do not maintain a strong grip on the bib. As babies love to grab and pull on things, it was too easy for the bib to become unclipped. You can see in the photo at the top of this article that the clip is only just attached to the bib. We had a few mishaps when testing with an overexcited baby and food that missed the bib!

Kipiis Bib Clips Lime/Blue

Whilst I love the range of colors and the design, I think that it could have been better implemented. It does not maintain a particularly strong hold on the bibs, being all too too easy for a baby to pull it loose. The straps also seemed too rigid and not offering a lot of flexibility when your baby moves. This could potentially irritate your baby if they were to rub against their neck.

The Kipiis Bib Clips is available for $13.

Overall, I think that you will not be too disappointed with the Kipiis Bib Clips. They serve their purpose pretty well and can make a great addition to your diaper bag.
